Our Values
Matchday Atmosphere
As fans, we know that no matter what your age, the matchday atmosphere is what can make football feel special. One of our objectives as a FAB is to positively improve the matchday atmosphere for everyone.
We have started a conversation about atmosphere with the club and would really welcome fan thoughts and suggestions - our email address is bristocityfab@gmail.com
We’re uniquely placed to work with the club itself but also with diverse supporter groups – some of which are formally represented on the FAB – and we’re keen to support fan-led initiatives. Please get in touch with your feedback and recommendations.
Football for everyone: building our fanbase.
Fans are at the heart of football and a strong fanbase will keep us resilient into the future. That means attracting fans from all parts of our community, making them feel safe and welcome at Ashton Gate.
We recognise the work the club already does and its our objective to support them in this. We’ve been working with the club and other supporter groups to think about how we can address racist and misogynist chanting when it happens, and we are looking at ways to make the ground and messaging more accessible to a wide range of fans.
Let us know if you’ve any ideas for making Ashton Gate an even more welcoming place to our fans of the future.
Future-proofing the club
As with many football clubs, if there was a change of ownership in the future, it could raise concerns for the fanbase. For this reason, one of the key objectives for the FAB is to be aware of any potential implications for fans and to be in a position to respond quickly and effectively to concerns.
Our first meeting saw us discuss with the club ways in which the club’s heritage – which includes our colours, name, location and crest - can be protected in the future, no matter who the owner of the club is. |
Fan experience
We’re fans, not customers, but we recognise that we still want a good experience - from buying tickets, to getting to and from the ground, stewarding, food and drink…all these things affect how we experience our football.
It’s a FAB objective to help the club deliver the best possible experience to anyone who watches a City match.
Tell us what does and what doesn’t work for you. While the FAB is here to advise on the strategic work with the club, we also will point you in the right direction if you have an issue that we know that someone at the club can help you with, from catering to issues buying tickets. But where we hope the FAB will have the biggest impact is improving issues that are problems for everyone and making sure the club is listening to the voices of fans when making decisions.
